These reports include the number of times your ad was displayed, how users have interacted with your ads, whether users have clicked through to your site, where the ad users are from, etc.\n\nTwo good starting points for understanding Measure Module functionality are the [Metrics Glossary](doc:metrics-glossary), which lists definitions for all the metrics used here, and the Placements Overview page, which is the landing page for the Measure Module, and summarizes some key metrics for all placements of this ad.\n\nMost reports consist of a graph, and a table that elaborates on that graph. See below for an overview of some common components of our graphs and tables.\n\n## Charts and Graphs\nThere are a lot of charts and graphs throughout the Measure Module. The data in these graphs is always constrained by the *From* and *To* dates in the global date range chooser. There are three graph types that are used most frequently:\n\n * **Line Graphs:** These typically depict the day-to-day variations of various metrics – e.g. daily ad impressions. Mouse over any point on the graph to view the date and metric value of that point on the graph.\n * **Pie Charts:** These typically depict a metric broken down by category – e.g. interactions broken up by type. Mouse over any slice in the pie chart to see what that slice represents, along with the corresponding value, both as an absolute number and a percentage of the total.\n * **Bar Graphs:** These are typically used to break a metric down into several bins – e.g. number of engagements broken down by time on unit. Mouse over any bar in the graph to view the bin that bar represents, and the corresponding metric value.\n\nIn the upper right corner of each graph is a icon. Click the icon to download the graph image to your computer. You can download the graph in several different formats:\n * PNG or JPG image\n * PDF document\n * SVG vector graphic\n\n## Versions and Milestones\nA new version of your ad is created each time you publish the ad. A version can be flagged as a milestone. In the Measure Module, every timeline graph has the ability to display version and milestone markers. These markers indicate the day on which each version and milestone was created. There are icons in the Placements Sidebar that control the appearance of these markers. When a marker is clicked, its Version Details lightbox is launched.\n\n## Tables\nMost of our tables are sortable by any column. Each column is sorted either alphabetically or numerically, depending on the content within that column. Each column can be sorted in ascending or descending order. To perform the ascending sort, click the column heading; for the descending sort, click the column heading again.\n\nSome tables, like the Placements Overview table, also have a pagination control bar at the bottom. This is useful for longer tables. This bar has *First, Previous, Next, Last,* and *[Page Number]* controls for navigating the table's pages. You can also control the number of rows shown per page using the *Show* dropdown menu on the right side.\n[block:api-header]\n{\n \"type\": \"basic\",\n \"title\": \"Placements Overview\"\n}\n[/block]\nThis is an overview report comparing multiple placements of the same ad against each other. Use the Placements Sidebar to select the placements you want to see in this report. All data is for the period specified using the global *From* and *To* dates, as defined in the Measure Module Header.\n\nThis report consists of a table and a graph.\n\n## Overview Graph\nThis graph shows day-to-day variations in various metrics on a placement-by-placement basis. Use the *Show Chart* dropdown menu at the upper right corner of the graph to select the metric you wish to view. The metrics in this dropdown correspond to the metrics in the Overview Table. The legend for this graph appears in the Overview Table.\n\n## Overview Table\nThis table shows several summary metrics for the placements selected in the Placements Sidebar. Each row represents a different placement. The columns are summarized below.\n\n * **Name:** The name of the placement summarized in this row. Click on any placement’s name to open the Summary page for that placement. This column also serves as the legend for the Overview Graph; the symbol used to represent each placement in the graph can be found to the left of the placement name.\n * **Impressions:** The number of times this ad placement has been displayed.\n * **Engagements:** The number of impressions of this placement with at least one interaction.\n * **ER (Engagement Rate):** The percentage of impressions that resulted in engagements.\n * **IR (Interaction Rate):** The ratio of interactions to the number of impressions displayed, expressed as a percentage.\n * **CTR (Clickthrough Rate):** The ratio of clickthroughs to the number of impressions, expressed as a percentage.\n * **Shares:** The number of social shares initiated by users from this placement.\n\nThe *Totals & Averages* row at the bottom of the table gives the corresponding metrics for all ad placements displayed on this page. Totals are shown for Impressions, Engagements and Shares. Averages are shown for ER, IR and CTR. Note that if this is a multipage table, this row will show only the totals and averages for this page, not for all selected placements.\n\nPlease see the [Metrics Glossary](doc:metrics-glossary) for more in-depth definitions of the metrics terminology.\n[block:api-header]\n{\n \"type\": \"basic\",\n \"title\": \"Placements Sidebar\"\n}\n[/block]\nThe Placements Sidebar appears on the left side of your browser throughout the Measure Module. It allows you to control which placements are included in any report that appears in the main panel, to control the display of version and milestone markers, and to export reports to Excel.\n\n## Placements\nThe sidebar contains a list of all placements associated with this ad, with a checkbox next to each one. Check the box next to a placement, and the displayed report will immediately update to include that placement along with all the other checked placements. The placement selections will persist as you browse from report to report. Use the *Select All* checkbox to select all placements.\n\nThere are also two buttons at the top left of the sidebar:\n * **Export:** Click this button to export reports for the currently checked placements to Excel format, and download the resulting Excel file. This file will work with Excel 2007 and later versions.\n * **View Details:** This button only appears if you are currently viewing the Placements Overview page. Click it to view additional detail about the selected placements, starting with the Placement Summary page. \n\n## Versions and Milestones\nAt the top right corner of the Placements Sidebar, there are three icons that behave as mutually exclusive radio buttons. These icons control the display of version and milestone markers in line graphs throughout your reports. These markers indicate the day on which each version and milestone was created. Click on a marker to view the Version Details lightbox for the corresponding version or milestone.\n * **Hide Versions:** Click this icon to hide all version information in your reports.\n * **Display Milestones:** Click this icon to display milestone markers in any timeline graphs throughout your reports.\n * **Display Versions:** Click this icon to display version markers in any timeline graphs throughout your reports. \n[block:api-header]\n{\n \"type\": \"basic\",\n \"title\": \"Version Details\"\n}\n[/block]\nThis lightbox displays when you click the version or milestone marker on any line graph in any report. It shows the details for the version or milestone that was clicked.\n\nThe following read-only detail fields are displayed:\n * **Version:** The version number; if this version is a milestone, it is tagged as such here.\n * **Published At:** The date and time when this version was published.\n * **Published By:** The name of the person who published this version.\n * **Comment:** The comment that was entered when this version was published. \n\nThe lightbox also has a button at the bottom. This button is different for milestones vs regular versions.\n\n**Unmark as Milestone:** This button is available for milestones. Click it to remove the milestone, downgrading it to a regular version.\n\n**Mark as Milestone:** This button is available for non-milestone versions. Click it to upgrade this version to milestone status.","excerpt":"","slug":"design-studio-batch-reporting","type":"basic","title":"Batch Reporting"}
